About
Hello!
Having worked in a variety of creative rolls, it wasn’t until the end of 2022 that I truly found my passion for clay, knowing that I needed to make it my future. I enrolled at college and finally got to play with clay properly.
I was sitting at a potters wheel for the first time and had a true light bulb moment. I’d finally found what I wanted to do when I grew up, at the age of 48.
Forward to now, I spend my days working in my garden studio in Melbourne, Derbyshire. I work in stoneware, both throwing and hand-building. My work is mostly functional, with a sprinkle of fun stuff too.
I’m full of appreciation for my rural surroundings. Nature is on my doorstep and I get lots of ideas and inspiration ambling through the local fields, peering into the hedgerows. I enjoy combining my observations from nature with my love of patterns. Animals, particularly dogs and birds are common subjects in my decoration.
