What is a Hug Nugget?
Hug Nuggets are my little handmade ceramic characters, designed to feel like a tiny hug you can hold in the palm of your hand. At their simplest, they’re cute little smiley clay blobs with outstretched arms, but the sentiment behind them runs much deeper. Ghost Hug Nuggets are a new addition to the Hug Nugget family to provide some lighthearted spookiness.

Some people buy Hug Nuggets just because they’re cute. Others buy Hug Nuggets as a heartfelt gift for someone who’s going through something tough to bring a little lighthearted relief and distraction. Hug Nuggets are a way of saying “I’m thinking of you”, “you’re not alone”, or “you are loved”, without using actual words.
Each Hug Nugget is unique, handmade by me from stoneware clay and decorated with slips and underglaze. These spooky ghost Hug Nuggets are glossy blue underneath their ghostly white costume which is unglazed (matt – imitating cloth) and includes the decorative detail of a little stitched patch – as these little ghouls have obviously been up to mischief.
Gift packaging
Every Hug Nugget is wrapped in tissue paper and nestled in a little kraft gift box, complete with a Hug Nugget card reminding the recipient to “give me a squeeze whenever you need”. Arriving completely ready to gift, so there’s no wrapping needed, I’m happy to send direct if you want to surprise someone.
